Happy Holidays from Positive Force!

Happy Holidays from PF!

Your Positive Force team – Justin, Jorge and Brad – wishes you a fabulous holiday season and happy thoughts and good energy for a fantastic 2012.

In 2011, Positive Force went through big changes.

After years of offering multiple, monthly social and educational events, our program shifted to being more focused on our individualized, peer-based services. We are superbly grateful to continue to offer our mainstays, like PLUS, and social outlets for poz guys and their allies, and we are excited for the opportunities in helping our community one poz man at a time, too.

Following more than 15 years with STOP AIDS Project as a volunteer and staff member, including 2 ½ years with Positive Force, Tony Koester departed for a new life with his partner in Seattle. He was a rock star in the STOP AIDS Project/Positive Force family, and he has been and will be missed.

In his place, Jorge Vieto and Brad Vanderbilt joined the team, and they have been rock stars in their own right. Since joining the staff, they have been hard at work, helping to develop our new services and enriching the ones we continue to offer:

1-on-1: peer-based counseling

The Doctor Is In: twice-monthly, physician-led discussions on HIV wellness

PLUS: support and education for guys new to dealing with HIV

Urban Adventures: monthly socials

Stay Current: expert-based, big topic events

We look forward to serving you in 2012. We have some surprises in store for you, so stay tuned! Until then, have a marvelous holiday season!

Yours truly,

Justin, Jorge and Brad
