STOP AIDS Project would be nothing
without the hundreds of amazing volunteers we’re so lucky to count
as friends and allies.
Hundreds of amazing individuals have
contributed to the mission of Stop AIDS Project – men, women, trans
guys, professionals, disabled persons, youth, the list goes on and on.
Over the last 20 years, Stop AIDS Volunteers have handed out thousands
of condoms, had countless conversations with gay, bi, and trans men
about their lives and sexual health, produced hundreds of workshops
and forums, and made a difference in the community in immeasurable ways.
When you decide to get involved and
volunteer for Stop AIDS, You can:
- make a difference
by helping the diverse, vibrant gay/bi/trans community in San Francisco,
feel a sense of “giving back”
- mobilize the participation
of your peers and partners in strengthening the assets of the gay/bi/trans
community
- meet new people from
all over the city and the Bay Area
- build skills in communicating
sexual health information for yourself, your friends and your partners
- create innovative,
fun ways to build and fortify connections between gay/bi/trans men
- deepen
your personal connection to the local and global fight against HIV/AIDS
- influence community
decisions by contributing to the dialogue regarding HIV and gay men’s
health
- have fun!
Whatever your reasons are for volunteering,
chances are we can find a place for you!
Because of the contributions of our
volunteers, Stop AIDS remains a vital part of the community – keeping
the pulse of gay and bi men in the city.
